In June 2004 Bath Tourism Plus introduced a membership scheme for tourism businesses, thereby establishing a ground-breaking partnership between the public and private sector. The scheme now numbers some 420+ members and provides access to a wide range of commercially-focussed benefits and services, including marketing and promotion.

Chair of Bath Tourism Plus
Bath & North East Somerset Council wish to appoint a new Chairperson for Bath Tourism Plus (BTP) which is the official destination marketing organisation for Bath and the surrounding area. It is a public private partnership that receives financial support from B&NES and generates a turnover of over £2m per annum.
The primary role is to ensure that the board is effective in setting and implementing the company’s direction and strategy. The chair needs to provide leadership to the board and ensure a focus on the key tasks. The Chair is responsible for providing guidance, feedback and support to the Chief Executive.
