Sue and Pete welcome you to award-winning Fern Cottage, graded 4 Stars with a SILVER Accolade from VisitBritain. All our rooms are doubles with en-suites and located at ground floor level, furnished to a high standard with Laura Ashley fabrics. Three rooms are situated in the stable block and 1 room at the rear of the house.
Fern Cottage dates back to 1750 and set in 2 acres of greenbelt/conservation with extensive panoramic countryside views from all rooms. Only 15 minutes drive from the cities of Bristol and Bath. Ideal for sightseeing around the South West, including Lacock, Castle Combe, Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Dyrham Park, Tyntesfield, Longleat, Slimbridge, Berkeley Castle, Stonehenge, the Cotswold Villages or a visit to the Thermae Bath Spa.
As a registered smallholding we grow our own fruit and vegetables organically. Our extensive breakfast menu (complimented by Gary Rhodes and Michael Caines MBE) uses organic, home made, home grown and locally produced ingredients.
Winners of 12 Awards in 5 years including Gold for Gloucestershire from the Taste of the West Food & Drink Awards 2008/2009 (for the 3rd consecutive year running). Also Finalists in the Gary Rhodes UK TV Local Food Hero (being shown on tv). We are currently the only Bed and Breakfast in Bath and Bristol to have been awarded GOLD for Green Tourism. We also won the National Silver Award for England from EnjoyEngland for “Sustainable Tourism” 2008/2009.
