The perfect combination of country cottage style and modern comfort, the newly refurbished Groveside is ideal for a romantic break for two, but can comfortably accommodate two couples or a small family, as the sitting room can double up as a bedroom.
A good night’s sleep is inevitable in the extremely comfortable and stylish double bedroom with its Hypnos king-size bed and luxurious bed linen. The bright bathroom has a bath, overhead power shower, heated towel rail and plenty of hot water. The well-equipped kitchen is fully fitted, including fridge/freezer, digital hob/oven, washer/dryer and microwave. The charming sitting room features a wood burner (there’s also central heating), with comfy seating including a large sofa, which doubles as a king size bed or two singles. You’ll also find a TV with Freeview, DVD player along with a selection of DVD’s for all ages, hi-fi, DAB radio, and books, games and jigsaw puzzles for rainy days. A walk in storage area is there for suitcases, coats and muddy boots…
With its own private driveway, large lawned garden and pretty patio area with views that stretch to the city of Bath, it’s the perfect place to unwind.
If you’re intending to stay in and cook, biodynamically grown vegetables are available to buy from the farm next door. A superb local pub, The Quarryman’s Arms, is only a few minutes walk away and is well known for its great food and friendly atmosphere. Enthusiastic walkers will enjoy the nearby public footpaths, which will lead you through fields of sunflowers in the summer, woodland and the beautiful surrounding countryside. For those interested in caves and potholing, Box has a labyrinth of caves and tunnels to explore. Box is also the location of Brunel’s famous and impressive Box Tunnel.
