Blue Badge Guide who can tailor make the tour to meet your requirements and interests. These tours will give you a fascinating insight into this world-class destination. Make sure to include Bath's major sights such as The Circus, the Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge.
Alternatively, if you want to give your feet a rest, then you can take an open top bus tour of the city. The city sightseeing bus operates all year round and departs frequently from a variety of points all around the city including the bus stop outside the Abbey.
10.30-11.30am Refresh yourselves with a traditional morning tea or coffee at one of these fabulous venues:
Pump Room: as part of the Roman Baths complex, the Pump Room is a fantastic venue where you can often listen to the sound of the Pump Room Quartet as you take tea.
Jane Austen Centre: for a real taste of Georgian life, relax and refresh yourself in the Regency themed Tea Rooms and enjoy a pot of real leaf tea, some home made cake or a delicious light snack. The Tea Rooms have splendid rooftop views over the city.
Sally Lunns: is the oldest house in Bath (c.1482) and serves the most famous local delicacy; the Original Sally Lunn Bun. Sally Lunn was a French refugee who arrived to Bath in 1680 and established her bakery.
11.30am-1.30pm You cannot leave the city without a visit to the world-famous Roman Baths. Around Britain's only hot spring, the Romans built a magnificent temple and bathing complex that still flows with natural hot water. See the water's source and walk where Romans walked on the ancient stone pavements. The extensive ruins and treasures from the spring are beautifully preserved and presented using the best of modern interpretation. Personal guides are available for groups as well as teaching sessions on a range of subjects for school groups.
