Museums and Galleries
The museums in Bath and beyond take you on a trip through time. The world
famous Roman Baths, Jane Austen Centre and Number 1 Royal Crescent are just a few. For lovers of art there’s the Victoria Art Gallery and the Holburne Museum, opening 14th May 2011. Just outside the city the American Museum, home to the finest collection of Americana outside of the United States, is set within 120 acres of wonderful grounds ideal for groups.
House and Gardens
Discover the Georgian Garden in the city, which has been recreated to show a typical layout of that period. Several National Trust properties including Prior Park Landscape Garden are located near Bath and all have stunning gardens to explore. From late April to early June, garden lovers can enjoy the Rhododendron Gardens at Bowood where special tours for groups can be arranged.

Animals and Nature
Experience the lions and tigers along with many more exciting animals at the world famous Longleat Safari Park just a short drive from the city. Spend time exploring the caves and gorges at Cheddar only a short distance from Bath.
Historical Sites
As Bath is a World Heritage Site, visitors to the city will discover fascinating places of historical interest around every corner, from the Roman Baths to the Royal Crescent. Close by are prehistoric sites such as Stonehenge and Avebury. You’ll be fascinated by the standing stones that were erected thousands of years ago.

Railways
If you are a train enthusiast a visit to Somerset and Dorset Railway is a must.
