Coach Drop Off and Pick up Points

Coach ParkingThere are two official drop-off points in Bath: Orange Grove behind the Abbey and North Parade outside the Parade Park Hotel and Lambrettas Bar. For continental coaches there is also a drop-off point opposite Orange Grove (beside the Guildhall).

Please note that there is a restriction on coaches using Brock Street, Royal Crescent and parts of Upper Church Street with exemption for journeys registered as Local Services under the Transport Act 1985. However coaches are able to use Pulteney Bridge as a route into the city.

Priority Access Scheme

A priority access system is in operation in Northgate Street at the junction with High Street and Upper Borough Walls. The aim of the system is to reduce pollution in the city centre, making it a pleasant environment for pedestrians and preserving Bath's historic buildings for future visitors. The system operates between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm, 7 days a week. The "bus-gates" as they have become known, do not permit passage by tourist coaches operating non-scheduled public services.
