Recently renovated this charming cottage has not lost the original old world atmosphere of open log fires, wooden floors and oak beamed ceilings. However, if at any time you wish to switch your indulgence from this ancient charm back to the 21st century then, readily at hand, the facilities of WIFI internet access, Freeview TV, DVD, CD & digital radio are provided for those who wish to keep in touch with the modern world. A fully fitted new kitchen and a thermostatically controlled central heating system complete the comfort for that idyllic romantic setting.

Here we have the best of both worlds, away from city noise and congestion yet it is only a 13-minute ride into the majestic World Heritage city of Bath or 20 minutes to the marine port of Bristol. Park & Ride to Bath is only 12 minutes away to alleviate the stress of city driving and parking. Then after a hectic day in the city return to the tranquil setting of the quintessential English mediaeval village of Marshfield where delicious candlelit meals are available at any one of its three traditional pubs, which are only a few steps away from the front door of the cottage. Or on a warm summer day you can retire to the south & west facing patio to enjoy that charcoal BBQ or sun downer drink. Several shops are located in the village to cater for most of your holiday requirements and to avoid the necessity and stressful drive to crowded city supermarkets.

Kissing Gate Cottage is also conveniently located for visiting the Cotswolds and nearby National Trust properties of Dyrham, Lacock, Castle Combe, Newark Park, while Stourhead and Tyntesfield are within a 30-mile radius. A variety of Golf courses are also nearby.
