Aió is a well know Sardinian word which roughly translates as "come and join us".
This is a popular friendly restaurant and bar serving an intriguing Sardinian menu that changes seasonally which features fresh seafood, steaks and homemade pasta. Aió deservedly won “Best Seafood Restaurant Award” at the Good Food Awards 2012. This is the first and only Italian restaurant in the southwest which specialises and takes great pride in Sardinian cuisine and wines.
Expect to enjoy and experience fresh, simple flavours with excellent locally sourced, quality ingredients beautifully cooked. Its cuisine is centred around a large Char grill. The menu changes with the season, here is a sample of their cuisine: fresh calamari char grilled with chilli, paprika and honey; Sea bream with vernaccia wine and black olives. Aio' is situated in the very centre of Bath at the top of Milsom Street and is open daily from 10am. Come along to enjoy the two warm coloured dining rooms inside and a lovely secluded garden at back as well as pavement tables at the front.
