Demuths Vegetarian Restaurant

Rachel Demuth started Demuths restaurant 24 years ago. Head Chef Richard Buckley is at the helm and creating light and fresh vegetarian food. Eating at Demuths is a unique dining experience emphasizing fresh flavours and local produce.

In 2011 Demuths won the Bath Good Food Award for Best Vegetarian Restaurant and won the People's Choice Award. In 2010 Demuths was awarded Best Vegetarian Restaurant by Gourmet Britain.

Only 200m from Bath Abbey, Bath’s only vegetarian restaurant is best known for its exciting ‘world menu’. Its individual style of flavours, colours and textures has been earning this busy little restaurant a strong following for all these years.

Open every day for lunch, and dinner, menus change monthly with the seasons.

As well as the excellent vegetarian menu, there are plenty of vegan, wheat-free dishes & gluten-free options. Local vegetables, breads and cheeses are sourced from local suppliers and as much as possible is organic and Fairtrade.

For lunch try the Quick Bites menu for £12.50. Go for the Early Bird Dinner, great value at £15.90 for two courses between 5.00-6.30 Sunday to Thursday.

Dinner could be to start with:
Hoi Sin Marinated Aubergine Rolls with a carrot star anise purée, followed by Beetroot Arancini stuffed with Somerset Brie, apple jelly, yellow beetroot, pickled fennel, rocket, pink grapefruit and mint dressing and to finish with a rich Chocolate Mousse with a coriander and pink peppercorn tuille
