The Bertinet Kitchen

The Bertinet Kitchen is a purpose-built cookery school in the centre of beautiful and historic Bath. Owned and run by French chef and baker, Richard Bertinet, The Bertinet Kitchen offers a range of relaxed and fun hands-on classes and demonstrations for food lovers of all abilities including classes focusing on French, Italian and Indian cooking; classes designed to improve core cooking skills and a range of guest chef classes with nationally known chefs including Michael Caines, Atul Kochhar, David Thompson and Giancarlo Caldesi.

The school also runs a range of very popular bread classes, based on Richard's award winning book Dough. Exploding the myth that baking bread must be a daunting and time-consuming task, Richard shows how having a quick and easy bread baking in the oven while dinner is cooking just as natural part of preparing the meal as opening a bottle of wine.
