Thermae Bath Spa voted 'Best Spa in World'

Thermae Bath Spa has been voted the ‘Best Spa in the World’ by readers of the Daily Telegraph’s ULTRA Travel Magazine.

Thermae was awarded the accolade at a glittering awards ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane in London on Monday 10^th May 2010.  A member of staff from each department within Thermae Bath Spa, including housekeeping, lifeguards and Reception attended the event.

The ULTRAS awards are voted for by the readers of the Daily Telegraph’s ULTRA Travel Magazine. The awards in this highly respected travel magazine feature such categories as top hotels, resorts, tour operators and airline companies.

Last year the winning Spa was The Grove (UK), with Thermae Bath Spa being placed as one of four runners-up along with Chewton Glen, UK, Chiva-Som, Thailand and Sandy Lane, Barbados.

This is the second time that Ultra Travel readers have voted Thermae Bath Spa as the Best Spa in the World. 

This year’s runners-up in the Best Spa category were Chewton Glen, UK; Chiva-Som, Thailand; Gleneagles, UK; and Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort, Maldives.
