Bath voted as the world's favourite British spa destination

The TripAdvisor 2010 Travellers' Choice Awards have voted Bath as the second best relaxation and spa destination in the world.  Bath also featured in the Top UK Destinations.

The Awards are voted for by the public and users of TripAdvisor in the UK and abroad and attract thousands of votes for different places around the world.

Chris Astbury, Head of Marketing at Bath Tourism Plus said: "It's fantastic to see that Bath has again featured in the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Awards and has been voted as the second most relaxing and best spa destination in the world.  Bath has been attracting visitors for 'rest and relaxation' ever since the Romans first came and this award shows that Bath has continued to maintain its appeal and reputation as one of the best spa cities in the world.  Of course, we would like to see Bath appearing higher in the favourite UK destinations, but with around 4.5 million visitors every year, Bath still remains one of the most popular UK destinations of choice for British and overseas visitors, despite only being voted in at 12th place".
