Bath takes fashion forward in Spa City

Bath goes back to its fashionable roots this week with a festival of fashion that juxtaposes the latest fashions against historic locations. Bath’s fashion fraternity have created an impressive programme of catwalk shows, talks, interactive events and exhibitions across the city from 23rd to 27th March. With producer John Walford, direct from London Fashion Week plus stylist Rebekah Roy expect edgy and inspirational events, a far cry from predictable shopping mall fashion shows.
Mannequins that move bring a new meaning to window shopping with live action in across the city. Tourists will not be exempt from “Makeover Mania” which will take the city by storm on Saturday 26th March. Bath’s Tourist Information Centre, one of the busiest in the UK will be providing more than the usual advice and tourist maps. Thanks to some expertise from Boots No 7, visitors can enjoy a mini makeover to bring some extra magic to their stay in the spa city.
Bookish teens at Waterstone’s will also be given free makeup advice by Benefit. Watch out for dresses made from origami (from the fashion pages of Vogue) and a full fashion shoot in Waterstone’s window. Even cars are modelling Bath in Fashion attitude with an Audi A1 and A7 branded Bath in Fashion turning heads as they swagger through the streets. Audi are partners with Bath in Fashion sharing the limelight with headline sponsors, Banana Republic who opened their first store outside the capital in Bath on 17th March.
