The bus is emblazoned with images of Marilyn Monroe and the front display reads: “American Museum”, making it very easy to identify.
Cathryn Spence, Head of Communications, at the museum said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our visitors this free service, especially during our anniversary year. Our current Marilyn Monroe exhibition is extremely popular and we want to make it as easy as possible for people to visit. We are working with local company Bugler Coaches because we liked the fact they could provide us with a yellow bus – reminiscent of the archetypal North American school bus.”
Anniversary exhibitions, Marilyn – Hollywood Icon and Fab@50! run until 30 October. The museum has an exciting programme of events and activities throughout the year, for a full list please visit the museum’s website: www.americanmuseum.org
The museum’s popular Christmas at Claverton display this year is based on the Twelve Days of Christmas and will run from 25 November until 18 December. Bulger Coaches will be operating the same free service from Terrace Walk throughout Christmas at Claverton.
