Bath Rugby's Celebration of the City Calendar
7th October 2010
The wait is finally over and the BathRugby Calendar 2011 is just days away from its grand unveiling.
Being at the heart of the City, Bath Rugby thought it was time to move away from the cliché and produce something that revealed the best of Bath and present it in a stylish and inspirational calendar.
Capturing the iconic locations of the City, the players have been photographed in and around some of Bath’s most famous landmarks including The Roman Baths, the Thermae Bath Spa and The Royal Crescent.
“We thought it was about time we made more of our brilliant location and celebrate both the rugby and the City together,” said Chief Executive Nick Blofeld. “We are fortunate that we have so many beautiful backdrops and are hugely grateful for all of the help that we received from the City in realising this project.
“Bath Rugby is not just about the rugby matches at the weekend, we are an integral part of the community and are keen to continue strengthening our relationships and partnerships and we think that this calendar is a nice way to bring that alive in pictures.”
Bath Rugby has teamed up with the Bath Tourist Information Centre to mark the official launch of the calendar which will be taking place on Tuesday 12th October at 5.30pm.
“Rugby in Bath forms an important part of the visitor economy as many people who come to watch the games are also drawn to Bath to shop, eat out and explore the city,” said Chief Executive of Bath Tourism Plus, Robin Bischert. “This has a huge benefit for local and surrounding businesses. We are therefore delighted to be involved in the official launch of the 2011 Bath Rugby Calendar and are very pleased to be hosting the event at the Bath Tourist Information Centre.”
The official launch of the BathRugby Calendar 2011 is on Tuesday 12th October at the Tourist Information Centre, Abbey Churchyard, BA1 1LY from 5.30pm where the players will be available for signed copies.
The calendar will however be on sale from Saturday 9th October at The Bath Rugby Shop, 1 Argyle Street, Bath.
