Bath Tourism Plus appoints tourism specialist to head marketing

Bath Tourism Plus (BTP) has appointed experienced tourism professional, David Jackson, as head of marketing to manage the destination marketing team and lead on all activity to promote Bath to the UK and key overseas markets.
David joined BTP on 4th July and brings a wealth of marketing experience having previously worked for the North West Regional Development Agency and Lincolnshire Tourism. His experience has involved leading the digital marketing for Lincoln and Lincolnshire including the development of award winning websites and delivery of major UK and international campaigns. In the North West, David led the region’s visitor information strategy, working closely with the likes of Cumbria Tourism, Visit Manchester and Visit Liverpool to grow tourism through innovative marketing initiatives and new state of the art Information Centres. Most recently David has worked on secondment with VisitEngland, helping to develop the national tourism action plans.
David’s experience will be invaluable in developing Bath’s official tourism website www.visitbath.co.uk, overseeing PR for the destination as well as managing marketing communications, travel trade, overseas marketing and conference activity.
