Bath Aqua Glass

The Glasshouse is a beautiful independent glass shop selling a range of freeblown glassware, jewellery and stained glass. All items are handmade by skilled artists in Bath in one of our two workshops and include everything from pendants and earrings to wine glasses, vases and stained glass mirrors and hangings.

Open 7 days a week Monday – Saturday 9.30am-6.00pm Sunday 12.00-6.00pm.

Taking its name from the city’s Latin name (Aquae Sulis) ‘Bath Aqua’ is made by adding copper oxide to molten glass. This gives the aquamarine colour reminiscent of the historic city’s hot springs. The designs available in this finely crafted range, take inspiration from ancient Roman glass vessels. Their delicate colouring and translucent quality reflect the healing properties of the famous Roman spa Baths.
