Match your favourite outfit with a colourful ceramic Kazuri bead necklace made in Kenya by the now famous women's cooperative. We host the largest collection of Kazuri jewellery (Swahili for ‘small & beautiful’) in Bath and its designs and colours attract women of all ages, from retro 50’s beads to small seed beads and everything in between.
Enjoy our beautifully recycled sea glass and stunning freshwater pearls from the Philippines, as well as our Malachite & Hematite necklaces from Kenya. Our bangle collection has something for everyone, from super sparkly Indian bangles to brass inlaid wooden bangles to safari-patterned hand-painted cuffs.
Our crafts are both beautiful & eco-friendly often using natural or recycled materials, made by local artisans with traditional skills in communities across the world. Be amazed by our ingeniously recycled sweet wrapper bags, intricately made tin cars, CoralQuay newspaper bags, patterned tin and tile mirrors, Indian bangle frames, green leaf notebooks, hand-blown glassware and colourful tin animals. A recent addition to our eco-collection is our Green Glass recycled beer bottles made into new drinking vessels complete with original branding. Come and admire our sustainable carved wooden frames and slide open our inlaid secret boxes, both from India. Find out the legend of the Baobab Tree, our banana fibre alternative jewellery stand and stroke our hand-carved pet giraffes from Africa. In winter or summer come and wrap yourself in our colourful Kenyan kikios and when it's cold put on our woolly Andean alpaca hats & gloves for extra warmth. Hand-made & world image cards, gift wraps & gift boxes are also available.
We have recently opened a new World Kitchen Cafe on our first floor which exhibits a wide selection of paintings, wall hangings, mirrors and lanterns (see CoralQuay Cafe listing under ‘Eating & Drinking’ for menu details). There you will see original landscape paintings of safari, wild animals, seascapes, mountains and more figurative works which draw you into a world of African adventure & intrigue. Come & enjoy the view along with a series of Latin American original oil paintings influenced by the famous Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. Intricately embroidered recycled sari wall-hangings from India are a new addition to our growing art & textile collection. Original large & small masterpieces of needlework & beading will brighten any home and have become some of our bestsellers, complimenting our gorgeous inlaid wooden furniture. More home ware, fine art, textiles & furniture can be found on our second floor, above the cafe in the Green Tree Gallery, which also hosts local artist’s exhibitions throughout the year.
