Type: Bed & Breakfast
Arch House is a spacious modern house built in Cotswold stone, offering a warm welcome to tourists, families and business people. We aim to provide an environment for our guests that will enhance the feeling of well-being and enjoyment. Set quietly in the grounds of Kington Manor one can enjoy a stroll around the attractive village of Kington St Michael. We are two minutes from the open rolling Wiltshire countryside, the church, setting for filming Tess of the D’Urbvilles, a working farm and post office/shop. The very popular local inn serving evening meals is a two minute walk. Each delightful bedroom has its own adjacent private bathroom. We offer baby listening, cot, and high chair to our guests with young children. Generous, quality traditional English breakfasts are served to guests requirements. We aim to use organically and locally sourced products as well as our home produced jams and honey. We enjoy catering for special diets e.g. Gluten-free and vegetarian. Bath is very easily accessed by both rail or road. Regular frequent train services (10 - 15 mins) from Chippenham Station to Bath Spa Station which is centrally located in Bath. By road, an easy drive (25 mins) to stress-free Lansdown Park and Ride. Malcolm, an official guide is very willing to offer help and advice in planning your trip. Attractive near-by villages of Lacock, film location for Harry Potter, Cranford: Castle Combe, with racing circuit and film location Universal Studios The Wolfman. Avebury N.T. Stone circles. For children Bowood Adventure playground and Longleat Safari Park are great days out.
