Type: Guest House
Located in the heart of historic Bath city centre, The Ayrlington is a small, sumptuous, luxury boutique town house hotel. Its 16 elegantly appointed rooms have recently been refurbished to an exceptional standard and boast every modern amenity. The hotel stands in exquisite walled gardens and unusually for a Bath hotel, has it's own private parking.
The hotel offers exceptional standards of accommodation having been granted a Southwest Tourism Chairman's award for Excellence and five stars from Visit Britain and from the AA, and is also a multiple winner of Bath in Bloom - Hotel Garden category. These awards demonstrate the Ayrlington's continued commitment to the very highest quality standards.
Each room is individually and tastefully themed using period furniture, fine fabrics and thought-provoking artwork - classic English, romantic Italian, exotic Asian and contemporary New England are just 4 of the beautifully executed themes available to the discerning business or leisure traveller. All rooms have en-suite facilities and some feature four-poster beds.
A delightful, listed Victorian building fashioned from warm Bath stone, The Ayrlington is sensitively furnished and exquisitely decorated with an Asian influence, creating an ambience of tranquillity, comfort and relaxation. Standards of service are friendly yet, professional and discreet.
One of the great pleasures of the dining room is the spectacular view it affords over the hotel's award winning walled garden across to the medieval Bath Abbey and to the city beyond.
Another attraction of The Ayrlington, given its close proximity to Bath city centre, is its ample private parking. Bath has much to offer the visitor, from historic landmarks such as the Roman Pump Rooms and the Abbey, through to the fascinating Museum of Costume and a wealth of fine shops and restaurants, catering for every need. The city's nightlife is rich and vibrant, and as well as a broad selection of pubs and clubs, includes the marvellous Theatre Royal, which often features exclusive productions.
The Ayrlington also makes an excellent base to explore the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The local area is awash with charming historic houses and monuments, picturesque towns and villages, and glorious vistas.
An entirely non-smoking hotel, The Ayrlington has a resident's bar for those guests who'd like to stay in and enjoy a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.
Please note: this guesthouse does not accept children under the age of 10.
