Type: Hotel

This delightful 31 room hotel with its award-winning restaurant, has the feel of a country house hotel in the city. Built in 1835 of mellow Bath stone, it is a fine example of gothic architecture of the period. Set in four acres of award-winning gardens, the hotel grows much of its own herbs and vegetables. It has an outdoor pool in the gardens and an indoor pool in the Garden Spa where guests can use the gym, sauna and steam room on a complimentary basis.

All room prices are inclusive of bed and breakfast, use of the Garden Spa facilities, on-site parking, VAT and service. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and all except one room have a bath. The Classic and Deluxe rooms overlook the courtyard, while the Superior, Premier Deluxe and Junior Suite rooms overlook our four acres of landscaped gardens. Our suites are designed to cater for families and are in an adjacent building.

Romance breaks at the Priory include champagne and strawberries, red roses in the bath and candles, full English breakfast, use of the Garden Spa and dinner in the superb restaurant on one night. Our award-winning restaurant is under the direction of Michael Caines MBE who holds two Michelin stars at our sister property, Gidleigh Park.

The Bath Priory’s Garden Spa has recently re-opened following a complete refurbishment. The spa boasts two new Reception areas, four new treatment rooms, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, elliptical steam pod and changing facilities, as well as a brand new Fitness Suite. The Garden Spa, as the name suggests, has been transformed to showcase the hotel’s beautiful landscaped gardens. The gardens, designed by award-winning Head Gardener Jane Moore, can be enjoyed through the large glass windows by guests working out in the Fitness Suite or relaxing in the pool.
