Bailey Balloons is run by Jo and Clive Bailey, both highly experienced passionate balloonists. As commercial pilots and instructors, they have flown all over Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the USA. Clive Bailey is weather advisor for Western Region Balloon Club and Flight Director for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, in charge of the launch of up to 150 balloons. He was Logistics and Flight Director for David Hempleman-Adams' balloon flight to the North Pole in 2000 and assisted with the landing on his Atlantic flight in 2003. He was also the Flight Director for David Hempleman-Adams' recent epic flight from New Mexico to Canada in October 2005.
All Bailey Balloons pilots are licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority and the balloons are inspected, maintained and operated following the regulations of the CAA. They also carry third party and passenger liability insurance and are members of the British Association of Balloon Operators and the British Balloon and Airship Club.
