The Bertinet Kitchen is a purpose-built cookery school in the centre of beautiful and historic Bath. Owned and run by French chef and baker, Richard Bertinet, The Bertinet Kitchen offers a range of relaxed and fun demonstrations and hands-on classes and longer courses for food lovers of all abilities. The opening programme includes sessions focusing on delicious seasonal ingredients including wild salmon and locally picked traditional apple varieties, regional menus featuring Provencal cooking, flavours from Italy, Sushi and a Mexican Fiesta and skills classes to improve your techniques in the kitchen.
The school runs a hugely popular two-part bread course, based on Richard's new book Dough. Exploding the myth that baking bread must be a daunting and time-consuming task, Richard shows how having a quick and easy bread baking in the oven while dinner is cooking just as natural part of preparing the meal as opening a bottle of wine.
The Bertinet Kitchen also offers classes run by local and nationally known guest chefs.
