Why become a member?

Membership enables your business to participate in local, regional, national and international campaigns, provides new routes to market and unique access to services and marketing activities to promote your business.

By becoming a member you will support Bath Tourism Plus' activities to promote Bath and the surrounding area throughout the UK and overseas as the preferred destination for leisure and business travellers.

 

What are the benefits?

All businesses and organisations wishing to attract leisure or business visitors can benefit from membership in the following ways:

Online Promotion

Member businesses receive a full business listing on www.visitbath.co.uk - the official destination site for Bath and the surrounding area.

Members' listings come complete with picture, description, contact details and email and web links. Banner advertising opportunities are also available on the site. There are alsoopportunities for further promotion through special offers, online booking, events, competitions and value added breaks.

Accommodation Booking Service

Accommodation members have the opportunity to receive bookings through the BTP Accommodation Booking Service (fees apply to all bookings taken).

Tourist Information Centre

Dedicated leaflet racking space is available to all non accommodation members in the Bath Tourist Information Centre. Members can also the TIC to sell entry tickets and promote special offers and events. Bath TIC handled over 300,000 personal enquiries in 2005.

Bath Visitor Card

Opportunities are available for non-accommodation members to participate in the Bath Visitor Card scheme (launching Summer 2007).

The £3 Bath Visitor Card enables visitors to take advantage of a range of discounts and offers - including admissions to attractions - at member businesses. Inclusion in the scheme provides an additional opportunity to raise awareness and attract visitors.

Resale of the Visitor Card may also be considered - please ask for details.

Campaign Inclusion

Bath Tourism Plus runs a range of promotional campaigns throughout each year and offer members the opportunity to participate in these, to achieve additional exposure.

Public Relations

Bath Tourism Plus undertakes a proactive programme of press releases and press visits, including regional, national and international media. Member businesses can benefit by keeping BTP up to date with news and actively participating in press visits.

Guides and Brochures

Travel Trade

Members can provide products, offers and news stories for inclusion in enewsletters sent to the UK and international travel trade. Businesses can also promote themselves in partnership with BTP at key exhibitions.

Networking / Business Support

Through membership, businesses can participate in a number of networking events, have access to the BTP image library and receive regular enewsletters giving updates on activities and opportunities.
