Stylish apartments for holiday and business visitors to Bath are among the first in the country to achieve a four-star rating.
Just celebrating their first birthday, the 43 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments set in a beautifully-restored Georgian terrace at St James's Parade were assessed under the new Quality in Tourism grading scheme operated by VisitBritain.
The national grading scheme means travellers now have the reassurance of knowing that an apartment has been independently inspected.
As one of the founding members of the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers, SACO has been at the forefront of a campaign to have properties formally graded in terms of quality of fixtures and fittings, cleanliness and service and are delighted to have become the first apartment company in several key locations to achieve a four-star rating.
The individually-designed St. James's Parade apartments have spacious and attractively decorated lounge/dining rooms with contemporary Italian furniture, smart fully-equipped kitchens, bedrooms with king-size beds, and bathrooms with bath and power-shower. Facilities include direct-dial telephone, full-channel satellite and digital TV, DVD and CD player, plus 24-hour concierge service.
The apartments are the only accommodation of their kind in Bath and represent an average 25% saving on the cost of a room in an equivalent hotel.
SACO's other top four-star locations are in Bristol (West India House), Birmingham (Livingbase), Derby and Nottingham. The company currently offers 10,000 apartments in 100 cities worldwide, including Paris, Amsterdam, New York and Sydney.
