The village of Norton St Philip boasts a 13th Century church, a 16th Century village Inn, The Fleur de Lys, as well as the impressive stature of England’s Oldest Inn ‘The George’ featured in the Good Pub Guide.
The Plaine offers affordable luxury with rooms having Four Poster Beds with en-suite facilities. All rooms sleep up to 3 people. Also included are refreshment trays in all rooms, a cosy guest lounge and private off road parking. In summer you can luxuriate in the secluded garden or have coffee in the courtyard. A reliable and regular bus service takes minutes to whisk you through glorious countryside to Bath City Centre or the park and ride facility offers another transport alternative.
Golfing, horse riding, walking, historic trails and scenic drives are all on the doorstep of the Plaine. National Trust properties and areas of outstanding natural beauty are a short drive away as well as the historic towns of Wells and Glastonbury.

Road Directions
From M4 jct 18 take the A46 then A4 to Bath. As you come into Bath stay on the A4 until the second set of major traffic lights, where you turn left towards the A36. Go over the river and past the fire station, then at the end of the road turn right onto the A36 (direction Bristol). Stay on the A36 for approx 1 1/2 miles, and after a very short stretch of dual carriageway turn left onto the A367 (to Exeter), go up the hill, and at the end of the short piece of dual carriageway turn left on to the B3110 for Frome. This road leads through Midford and Hinton Charterhouse to Norton St Philip.

Taxi or 267/767 bus from Bath centre. Easy access to and from Bath with an hourly service. 15 minutes to the city centre.
