Delightful Georgian townhouse, home to astronomer and musician William Herschel and his sister Caroline during last quarter of the 18th Century. Later occupied by the sister of Fanny Burney the novelist. Visit the astronomer's workshop where Herschel made his telescopes, and the original kitchen and music room. Star Vault astronomy auditorium, audio tour. Georgian garden landscaped in style of Herschel's day.
Open February - December, daily (except Weds) 1 - 5pm, weekends and Bank Holidays 11 - 5pm.
