Travels on Horseback offers riding expeditions and hacking through the beautiful Somerset countryside.

Try a luxurious independent riding holiday on one of our beautiful fit horses. Our mission is to give you the best holiday you’ve ever had. Ride each day across beaches, fields and woods and spend each night in a different country house hotel.

Our rates:
- Riding by the hour - £30 per hour
- Holidays riding your own horse - £190 per night
- Hoildays riding our horses - £220 per night

We are open seven days a week, and riding is possible throughout all the daylight hours. In winter therefore, riding has to stop at 1600, whereas in high summer we can be out until 2100!

Road Directions

We are just 10 minutes from the M5
• Exit the M5 at junction 24 and head south on the A38, signposted Taunton. You will shortly start passing through North Petherton.
• At the beginning of the village, take the 1st right, signposted Goathurst.
• When you reach a little green triangle, take the left fork, called High Street.
• Turn right just after The Globe Inn onto Cliff Road.
• Follow Cliff Road out of the village and up a hill, ignoring all turnings. We’re a mile and a half up the road, on the right-hand side

Bus: there are express coaches from many destinations, including Bath and Bristol, to North Petherton
