Mahjong (Majiang) is a game for 4 players which originated in China. It involves skill, strategy and a degree of luck!

Thursday 4th December
Taming the Gods! (2.00-4.00pm)
A talk by Mongolian miniatures collector, Edd Thomas. This talk looks at Buddhist iconography and its uses in society from a Mongolian perspective. A must for fans of the Tibetan Buddhist miniature paintings from Mongolian that Edd has kindly loaned the Museum for the current exhibition, Images of Devotion.

Last day of current 'Season of Tibet' Exhibition - Cosmic Design:
Tibetan Mandala and Images of Devotion: Miniature Tibetan Buddhist Paintings from Mongolia.
Thursday 18th December
Chinese Knot Making (2.00-4.00pm)
Visitors of all ages are welcome to come and make decorative Chinese knots for the festive season.
