Type: Exhibition
This is intended to showcase the best of what our schools are producing for public examination so can be from any pupils currently in Y10 – Y13. The exhibition will be curated by students at Chew Valley School, under the guidance of Suzi Bloxham. Work will be exhibited in the same format as in previous years i.e. framed / mounted suitably for a professional, world class gallery. Canvases need not be framed.
Work will be hung professionally by Victoria Art Gallery (mirror plated to walls) in mixed groups i.e not in separate school areas. The side gallery will be something like a Curator’s Choice – not necessarily the very best nor are there any winners as such, but it will be a special selection of some of the most interesting work. This should avoid any feeling by young artists that there is any hierarchy of work between the two ground floor galleries.
