This Christmas, the Theatre Royal Bath and UK Productions present Sleeping Beauty, a wonderful fairy-story which contains everything required for a truly traditional family pantomime.
Appearing at the Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday 17th December to Sunday 24th January, this new production features lavish sets, beautiful costumes and dazzling special effects including flying sequences. Packed with comedy, slapstick, singing, dancing and plenty of audience participation, Sleeping Beauty is guaranteed to entertain both the young and the young at heart.
Two of the UK’s most sparkling actresses pit their magical wits against each other as the good and bad fairies. Liza Goddard, one of the UK’s most popular actresses, stars as the Good Fairy, and award-winning Gemma Bissix, well known for her roles in EastEnders and Hollyoaks, stars as the Bad Fairy. Much-loved panto specialist Chris Harris returns by popular demand to play Nurse Nelly and also directs the show. Tom Owen from Last of the Summer Wine plays the role of King and local comedian and presenter Jon Monie appears as Billy Muddles.
The role of Sleeping Beauty will be played by Natalie Marie Dignam with the role of Prince played by Tim Bonser. Also performing in the show are the delightful children from Bath’s Dorothy Coleborne School of Dance.
