Sophie Ryder Outdoor Sculpture Trail

None

Type: Art

An outdoor trail of Sophie Ryder sculptures can be seen over the summer months in Bath in the paved square outside the Bath Tourist Information Centre off York Street and around the Roman Baths, as well as inside Bath Abbey,

Two spectacular 5-metre high torsos, a minotaur and a lady-hare, will be placed outdoors in Kingston Parade, looking across at each other, while another sculpture The Kiss will be installed in Bath Abbey. An additional work, Paintpots, featuring half-human, half-hare figures will be displayed in Abbey Church Yard. These will remain in Bath for 6 months until the end of the summer.

The sculptures accompany the new Sophie Ryder exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery near Pulteney Bridge which runs from Saturday, 4 April until 10 June 2009.
