Topping & Company Booksellers

The intensely literary climate of Bath and the city's independent spirit meant that when the right property appeared, Robert and Louise opened Topping and Company Booksellers in The Paragon, in April 2007.

The Bath store follows the success of the original Topping & Company bookshop in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Its booksellers have been drawn initially from former colleagues – Saber from the Pan Bookshop, Robert Jones from Manchester and Kathleen, formerly of Manchester and Random House publicity.

Bath Topping & Company is making its mark, providing a cornucopia of over 30,000 titles in lovely surroundings, with tea and coffee as well as an exciting events programme. From Alan Bennett to Nigella Lawson, from Michael Palin to David Attenborough, we host one of the most exciting and varied author events programmes in the country, and 2008 is already shaping up to be a great year for the literary circuits.
