Accommodation Ratings
All accommodation listed on this website has been inspected by one of the ratings authorities (Visit Britain or the AA) or is part of a nationally recognised brand (eg. Hilton or Holiday Inn).
Ratings are your sign of quality assurance, giving you the confidence to book the accommodation that meets your expectations.
As a general guide the following descriptions apply for ratings given to all types of accommodation.
| Stars / diamonds | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 star or diamond | Simple, practical, no frills. |
| 2 stars or diamonds | Well presented and well run. |
| 3 stars or diamonds | Good level of quality and comfort. |
| 4 stars or diamonds | Excellent standard throughout. |
| 5 stars or diamonds | Exceptional with a degree of luxury. |
Note: Diamonds only apply to Guest Accommodation and are gradually being replaced by stars during 2006/07.
