WWT Slimbridge Wetlands Centre has an astounding array of wildlife, from water voles to waders, hares to dragonflies, and is home to the world's largest collection of swans, geese, ducks and flamingos.

This beautiful and internationally-renowned nature reserve is unique to the South West and has something to offer visitors during every season, from downy duckling days in spring to breathtaking swan feeds in winter.

You can take a canoe trail through the WWT Slimbridge Wetlands Centre grounds or let the kids splash and stomp in their wellies at Welly Boot Land, an exciting new outdoor play area. Alternatively, you can see our the otters and beavers in Back from The Brink.

After a full day in the open air, it’s worth popping over to the fabulous visitors’ centre and taking a well deserved rest at The Water’s Edge Restaurant, before finally picking up some fantastic souvenirs at the gift shop.

WWT Slimbridge Wetlands Centre is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day, from. 9.30am to 5pm, with a slightly later closing time of 5.30pm from April to October.

WWT Slimbridge is located between Bristol and Gloucester. Follow the signs from M5 (junction 13 or 14). Nearest railway station is Cam/Dursley - a short bicycle or taxi journey away. Also on Sustrans route 41.
