Pubs, Bars and Breweries

From pubs and bars to breweries and distilleries, there are plenty of places in Bath for a quick drink with friends, a casual meal out with family, or a lively night out with cocktails and dancing. Bath has a vibrant nightlife scene with many hidden gems to explore after hours. The mix of well-known chains and unique, independent bars and pubs offers something for everyone.

Pubs in Bath

Bath’s pubs are some of the best places to try local tipples such as Abbey Ales, Electric Bear craft beers and local Somerset ciders. Many Bath pubs run midweek entertainment such as quizzes and live music. Some even host tours of their own in-house micro-breweries.

Pubs in Bath aren't just lively watering holes, many are home to some of the best British and locally sourced food in the city too. If you’re in the mood for a hearty roast dinner or some tasty pub grub, you've come to the right place!

Bars

From classy cocktail bars and hidden gin distilleries to sophisticated wine bars and lively night clubs you’ll find plenty of bars and late-night spots scattered throughout Bath’s city centre.

Chill out and catch up with friends at one of Bath’s classy cocktail bars. Or, if cocktails aren’t for you, sip on a refreshing glass of wine and pick at a sharing board as you sit back and relax on the outdoor heated terrace of Vino Vino.

At the Canary Gin Bar, choose from hundreds of gins or sample Bath Gin, which is distilled on site in the first gin distillery in Bath for over 250 years. If it tickles your taste buds, you can join a gin making class or even buy a bottle from the Bath Visitor Information Centre Gift Shop to take home with you.

And if you’re in the mood to dance the night away, many places such as The Cork and The Bell Inn have live DJ sets, or you can hit the dancefloor at Opa, Komedia and Circo.

Breweries

Enjoy a Platform 3 IPA from the microbrewery in Graze where you can take your pint out to the terrace overlooking Bath Spa Railway Station.

Take a tour around the James Street Brewery at Bath Brew House where signature beers Emperor and Gladiator are brewed alongside a range seasonal cask and keg beers.

Pop into the taproom at Electric Bear to enjoy their modern craft beers straight from the source. After sampling what’s on tap take away a growler of your favourite or choose a selection of cans or bottles.
