The St John's Historic Guided Tour of Bath is a free app, allowing you to explore the architectural jewels of the World Heritage Site. The app has a city map, which shows people where they are. By clicking on pins marking key sights you will reveal stunning photos of places such as the Royal Crescent as well as specially written expert text for each entry.
St John's Hospital is one of the oldest and most respected almshouses charity in the UK and has been serving the citizens of Bath since 1174, by providing sheltered accommodation and domiciliary care for disadvantaged elderly people in the city and through its Grant Giving programmes. Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall is its Patron and it was she who re-opened Chapel House, at the heart of the city centre almshouses complex. Phase 2 of the Modernisation Project is underway, to redesign and refurbish John Wood House and Fitzjocelyn House in Chapel Court, both buildings of immense historic interest and rich in Georgian features. The aptly named 1174 Appeal has been launched to help finance the comprehensive updating of all the city centre apartments.
