Situated within 120 acres of wonderful grounds and stunning scenery, the American Museum in Britain is home to the finest collection of Americana outside of the United States.
The interactive American Heritage Exhibition precedes a series of attractive period rooms dating from colonial times until the eve of the Civil War.
Includes an outstanding quilt collection, inspiring Folk Art gallery and fascinating map exhibition.
Has special annual exhibition (March-Oct) with an exciting calendar of events, plus festive Christmas displays to end the year (Nov-Dec).
Quilting Bee - every Tuesday afternoon from 12.00 to 4:00pm, quilting groups from the area demonstrate their talents and chat with visitors about this vibrant and contemporary art. Included with full museum admission.
Bus service from Bath City Centre to American Museum
From Wednesday 20 July until Sunday 4 September 2011, the Museum will be operating a daily round-trip bus service from the centre of Bath to the Museum (except Monday 25 July when the Museum is closed). Bugler buses will pick-up in Bath from Terrace Walk (known locally as Bog Island) at 12.00, 13.00, 14.00 and 15.00. (arriving 15 minutes later.) Return trip from the Museum will run at 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30 and the last departure at 17.10pm
