Children’s TV star Naomi Wilkinson and Holby City’s Mark Moraghan join leading Dame Chris Harris in Bath where the streets are paved with gold for Dick Whittington this Christmas!
Naomi Wilkinson, one of children’s television’s best-loved presenters, and Mark Moraghan, well known for his long-running role in Holby City, star alongside Dame extraordinaire Chris Harris and Bath’s own Jon Monie in this year’s family pantomime Dick Whittington at the Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday 15th December to Sunday 22nd January 2011. Panto-goers both young and young at heart can look forward to a truly traditional show packed with comedy, spectacular special effects, singing, dancing, slapstick, beautiful costumes and plenty of audience participation.
With its “rags to riches” tale of the young Richard Whittington who travels to seek his fortune accompanied by his cat, Dick Whittington remains one of the most popular pantomimes. When Dick hears that the streets of London are paved with gold he sets off to make his fortune and eventually to become Lord Mayor, as the bells foretell – but not without falling in love and taking part in a host of adventures along the way.
