Bath Postal Museum
Mail Coach by Lamp Light
Come and experience the golden days of the coaching era. Meet the guard of the coach in his red attire complete with post horn. View the clothes worn by the travellers and appreciate the limited light or torchlight, which the coachman had to see with. Just how far can you see in the dark?

Admission: Free for Discovery Card Holders, otherwise normal admission applies.

Under the national Museums at Night scheme, the Museum of East Asian Art joins hundreds of other museums across the UK offering free evening entrance to the public.

Bath by Moonlight Walking Tour
This special one-off tour will reveal the impressive sights of Bath at night including the Abbey; Pulteney Bridge and several of Bath’s architectural masterpieces. Departing from outside the Pump Room, this special free two hour guided walking tour will be delivered by the well informed Mayor’s Guides.

Late Night Opening and Free Tastings at Sally Lunn's Historic Eating House and Museum
Enjoy free tastings of delicious Sally Lunn buns at one of the oldest houses in Bath (c.1483.) The site on which the house stands has been used to refresh townspeople and travellers since Roman times - you can also view Sally Lunn's kitchen, which is over 300 years old.

The Nero Affair and The Ha’Penny Bridge Disaster
Two specially commissioned plays performed by the Ha’Penny Theatre Company. The Nero Affair is concerned with the mysterious death of successful Victorian businessman, J. B . Bowler’s dog – Nero. Accident or murder. Who knows? Do you?
Promenade performance interviewing the suspects. The Ha’penny Bridge Disaster tells the tale of the catastrophic collapse of the Ha’Penny Footbridge in Widcombe.
Victorian Melodrama! Bring a hankie!

Music for a summer’s evening – in association with Museums at Night
Your evening visit to this authentic Georgian townhouse will be enhanced by the beautiful strains of a soprano singer accompanied by the lute. Picture 18th Century ladies discussing their evening at the Assembly rooms whilst discovering the fascinating artefacts and stories associated with each sumptuously dressed room.
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Admission: £6.50 adults, £5.00 concessions, senior citizens and students, £2.50 children (5-16 years), £13.00 family ticket. Free admission for Discovery Card holders.

1940s Night at the Building of Bath Collection
We will be taking the museum back to the 1940s with an evening of music in the museum to accompany our exhibition Repairing War Torn Bath. During the evening which is free admission to all, visitors can also view items from our collections and the Bath Preservation Trust archives which date from the second world war. Archive tours will take place at 8pm, 8.40pm and 9.20pm with places limited to 12 on a first come first served basis.
A ration of chocolate will be given to any visitors arriving in appropriate 1940s costume!

Roman Sensations
A chance to explore the Roman Baths at night and take part in a variety of Roman sensory and entertainment themed activities across the whole site. Try Roman wine, listen to music and poetry, try on Roman togas and find out more about fragrances the Romans used.
