The Royal Bath & West Show at Shepton Mallet, Somerset, is a fun day out for the whole family – mums, dads and little ones.
From the country’s finest livestock, a miniature railway and farming demonstrations for families, to the National Cheese Awards, vast food halls filled with the finest local produce and the glamour of Ladies Day, there really is something for everyone.
Show highlights include:
• NEW! Royal Bath & West Festival of Baking is new to this year’s show and brings four days of scrumptious demonstrations, expert talks and book signings from some of the nation’s top bakers. Creative kitchenware specialists, Lakeland, are the official sponsors and will showcase the best baking gadgets and innovations to date. Join in the fun at the Lakeland kitchen!
• The country’s biggest cheese show. At the National Cheese Awards, visitors will be able to see, taste and enjoy a staggering array of some of the UK’s finest cheeses and dairy produce.
• Ladies Day on Friday June 1 is back! Celebrated fashion designer, Gill Cockwell from Gilly Woo Couture, whose dresses have graced the red carpet at the Oscars visitors will be at the Show to judge and crown the ‘Best Dressed lady in Show’. VIP Ladies Day ticketholders will receive exclusive access to the Ringside Members Bar to see all of the main ring action PLUS a complimentary Afternoon Tea in the Members Marquee on the Lawn. • NEW! Horseboarding. Visitors to the Show will be able to enjoy the thrills and spills of one of the newest and most exciting extreme sport on the block. Horseboarders will be demonstrating their skills in the main ring, where they will be pulled by horses around the ring at speeds of up to 35 mph.
• A celebration of cider featuring the biggest cider competition in the country and the chance to take part in cider tasting with experts. In the pavilion you will find everything from advice on looking after apple trees to bird boxes for sale. Music from the Confederation Jazz Band as you relax in the orchard makes this experience extra special.
• Spirit of the West at the Main Ring is an oasis where you can sit and watch the world go by whilst enjoying a meal of local produce complemented with the finest cider brandy.

Road Directions
The showground is easily accessible from the M5 and is situated along the A371 Castle Cary - Shepton Mallet road. Approximately 25 miles from Bristol and 20 miles from Bath.

Turn off at M32 and take the A37

Turn off at junction 23 off M5
Coming from the East
Take the M3, A303, A371.
