Vintage Sunday

Vintage Sunday credit Bath in Fashion Week 2012

Type: Participatory Event

BathVA Fashion Fair and The Secret Tea Party present an amazing day of vintage chic, cake and entertainment.

When you think Bath, you think style – from gorgeous Georgian architecture to intimate cafes to independent boutiques. But visit the city and you’ll also uncover a thriving world of vintage treasures and specialists, all of which will be brought to life on April 1st 2012 with an awe-inspiring vintage fashion fair and VIP tea party. Both take place at the same central venue as part of Bath in Fashion, a week long celebration of all things fashion.

For the first time ever the organiser of the home-grown Bath Vintage and Antiques Market, Naomi Knight and the host of The Secret Tea Party events, Mrs Stokes, have joined forces to bring you Vintage Sunday, an entire day of fashionable fun at Green Park Station, an elegant, former railway station which is now Bath’s vintage spiritual home. Downstairs on the market square you’ll find the BathVA Fashion Fair with over 70 quality stalls selling heritage and retro men and women’s clothes, plus a Cava Bar, classic car, live music and pin-up photographer to capture your new look. Upstairs in a shabby chic Georgian room that overlooks the market, there will be a ticket-in-advance tea party with Charleston dancing taught by professional dancers, full afternoon tea on vintage china, optional vintage makeovers and a Best Dressed Competition judged by style icon Pearl Lowe. Come early and shop for your outfit’s finishing touches downstairs, then trip the light fantastic upstairs with tea, sumptuous cake and a glass of bubbly all afternoon.

This is a not-to-be missed event that marks Bath out as a major influence in fashion so put the fair in your diary, book your tea-party ticket and look forward to an amazing day of glamour and glad rags. The dark days are nearly over after all!
