Seven Ways to Celebrate Father’s Day in Bath

Father’s Day is right around the corner, and it’s time to start making plans for the day. From a boules competition to a delicious Father's Day lunch, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Father’s Day in Bath...

1. Boule Dad Over

Taking place from 10th–18th June, this year’s Bath Boules will be bigger and better than ever. Head to Queen Square to cheer on local teams as they go head-to-head in competitive games of boules. Relax in the Pimms and Champagne garden, where you can tuck into tasty street food from the bustling market, and soak up the festival vibe, while little ones take turns on the bouncy castle.

2. Forge Ahead

Celebrate heritage skills at Bath IRON, which takes place from 14th–17th June. During dynamic demonstrations, you can watch master smiths as they forge a brand-new balustrade for the bandstand at Parade Gardens, before getting stuck in yourself at one of the public forging sessions.

3. Petrol and Percussion

Dad can live the American dream this Father’s Day weekend, at the American Museum in Britain. On 16th and 17th June, there will be classic American cars to admire, lip-smacking food from Spitfire BBQ, and toe-tapping music to enjoy throughout the day.

4. Brew Up the Perfect Father’s Day

Perfect for all foodie fathers, Le Vignoble are offering a delicious Father’s Day lunch on 17th June. Tuck into a platter of French cheeses, saucisson, cured hams, olives, dips and breads, washed down with a cool and refreshing Firebrand craft beer. And if that doesn’t quite quench your thirst, there are 32 different wines on offer from Le Vignoble’s self-service Enomatic dispensers.

5. Tee Off in Time for Tea

If golf is dad’s game, head to Bowood for a fun golf tournament for dads, grandads, children and grandchildren on 17th June. After working up an appetite competing in the flag competition, treat the whole family to a tasty two-course carvery lunch and toast to a Father’s Day well spent.

6. Cook Up a Storm

For dads who love a barbecue, but are fed up with the inevitable cleaning afterwards, head to Prior Park Landscape Garden on 17th June for a barbecue feast without the hassle. The Prior Park team will be cooking up delicious beef burgers and veggie delights, so dads will have plenty of time to relax by the lake or join in some family games.

7. Treat Dad to a French Feast

Head to Café Rouge this Father’s Day and enjoy a feast for the whole family. Enjoy 25% off food, and dad will also be treated to a complimentary beer of his choice. Simply download your voucher and enjoy!
