The sun has finally started to make a regular appearance, and summer is almost here! This means several things in Bath – festivals, picnics, walks, and lots of eating and drinking outside in the sunshine. The city has a great selection of beer gardens, perfect for enjoying a cold pint or a cocktail. Here are some of our favourites…
The Bath Brew House
Tucked away at the back of The Bath Brew House lies a real sun trap, complete with table tennis, a barbeque and occasional live music. During the colder seasons, this space doubles as a large, welcoming marquee. The food is excellent too, especially if you’ve got a big appetite.
If you love a cocktail in the sunshine then Sub 13 is for you. Sipping on one of their refreshing mojitos in the beautiful back garden is a must.
Although more of a terrace than a garden, The Cork’s outdoor patio is a lively spot with a great atmosphere. The building was historically a debtors prison too.
The outdoor terrace of The Boater is located by the stunning Pulteney Bridge, complete with a weirside bar and a large selection of cask ales. A traditional rugby pub, so always an animated place on match days.
