This unique sampling experience is operated in conjunction with the fascinating Bath Botanical Gin Distillery & Herbal Apothecary. This special producer makes gins in small-batches, based on unique in-house recipes
The distillery can be found in the stunning village suburb of Widcombe, just 5 minutes walk from Bath Spa station. Our masterclass begins by welcoming you with a classic gin and tonic. You’ll also see the traditional copper still which is used to produce many of the handcrafted drinks you’ll get to taste. We’ll describe how the still works, the intriguing history of gin, and why the drinks you’ll sample are so special. Samples are included of a range of fruit flavoured gins, unusual herbal elixirs, and bitters, all made on site.
This is a fun event, in a stunning location, for those looking for a unique gin tasting experience. With just 1 to 1 hr 15 minss duration, it is an easy way to add an immersive experience to your visit to Bath, and a great way to connect with a unique, independent business.

Availability on selected dates in 2024 : Friday 21st June 7pm, Friday 12th July 7pm (more dates later in the year to be announced shortly – please check back here soon!)
Duration : ~1 to 1hr 15 mins
Capacity : max. 10 people (For larger groups please see details below for our Private Gin Tasting Masterclasses).
Price per person : £30
Payment : Public events only proceed with a minimum of 6 people. When booking, we will pre-authorise your card, but we will only take payment & notify you once this threshold has been reached. If less than 6 people have booked by 5 days prior, we will let you know, your booking will be cancelled and you will not be charged.
Cancellation : Before the minimum threshold of participants is reached, you can cancel at anytime without being charged. Once we have charged you for your booking, our standard booking terms apply.
Private Gin Tasting Events
Gin Tasting Masterclasses are also available to book privately and are especially popular with:

We can welcome a maximum of 10 people at our distillery. If you have more than 10, we can come to you! We’ll bring samples with us and provide the same service you’d have if we were to welcome you at our distillery.
Events taking place at our distillery, are only available outside retail opening hours (11-5:30pm Weds-Sat).
Prices for Private Gin Tasting Masterclasses:
…at our distillery: £30 per person with a minimum cost of £180 for up to 6 people. 10 people maximum
…at a venue provided by you: £330 minimum for up to 11 people, + £30 per extra person. Discounts available for more than 20 people. No maximum.
