This is a place where everything is driven by produce from the garden - on any given day. The menus will change by the minute, depending on what the forager supplies and what our Kitchen Garden team deems to be in perfect condition.

What ever our Kitchen Garden teams are unable to grow themselves we source from within a 25 mile radius - creating our 25 mile menu. We love who we work with and carefully select them so we can be 100% honest on the provenance of our ingredients, and be sure that what we are dishing up is the very best around. The Story

It all began in 2004 when Somerset locals Jim Twine and Luke Hasell took over their family farms in the beautiful Chew Valley countryside. All their meat is organic and comes from within a few miles of their shop. They can tell the real story of their meat from farm to fork! -
Eades Greengrocers

Tucked away behind the grade 1 listed Royal Crescent is a jewel in Bath’s architectural crown; a tiny greengrocers shop made from two garages knocked together. Owner and fourth generation greengrocer Tony Eades owns 2.5 acres in nearby Swainswick, where he grows a variety of veg including broccoli, cauliflower and potatoes.

Afternoon: We don't serve a traditional afternoon tea, however we do offer an afternoon menu of homemade piggy treats and sweet treats. Our Afternoon menu is served from 3pm-5pm in our lounge areas and on our outside terrace.
Wood Ovens: Our Wood Oven is currently open serving food and drinks, from 12pm-6pm, Monday-Sunday. As always, seating will be on a first come first served basis.
Lunch bookings at THE PIG-near Bath are advised, however, Dinner bookings are essential! Please note we do not take bookings for the Wood Oven or Afternoon Menu.

Private PartiesA real get-away location perfectly situated between Bath and Bristol, THE PIG-near Bath is a great place for a get together! We have a mix of rooms to choose from depending on who is it you're getting together.
The largest of our dining rooms, The Old Dining Room, seats up to 20 of your nearest and dearest around a rustic dining table, our garden inspired spot, The Kitchen Garden Table seats between 8-12 people and our characterful and cosy Billiard Room, seats up to 12-16 and is perfect for long leisurely suppers or meetings. Checking in and outYou can check in from 3pm at THE PIG-near Bath, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore the gardens.
Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.
AccessibilityAt THE PIG-near Bath we have a small lip access to the hotel, through either front door or through the private dining space. Electric Vehicle ChargingWe currently have two 7KW Pod Point electrical charging points for vehicles at THE PIG-near Bath if you require charging during your visit. You will need to use the POD Point App to access the charger, and will be charged 75p per kWh of charge; overnight charging is required for full charge. Charging will require use of the Pod Point app and a registered account - this can be found at https://pod-point.com/products/driver/app. These POD charging points are fully compatible with all electric cars but please note you must bring your own charging lead. Once your car is fully charged we ask you move it to a regular parking space.

THE PIG-near Bath
By road
Although not necessary, a vehicle can be handy to explore the rolling Mendip Hills and Somerset countryside! THE PIG-near Bath is a short drive from the A36 and the M4, very close to the A37 being on the A368; so driving from London should take just over two hours.
Nearest station
Bath Spa Train Station is only a 20-minute drive from ours and the city of Bath is fairly well connected with links to various destinations across the country. First Great Western runs hourly services between Bath and London Paddington and the journey only takes around an hour and a half.
Taxi service
Veezu in Bristol and Bath (01179 25 26 26) and Keynsham Cars more local to us (0117 986 8444) are taxi services that are always on hand to get you where you need to be! Give them a call if you're needing a lift to our house.
