Black Dog Farm
Black Dog Farm bed and breakfast is 13 miles southeast of Bath and a ten-minute drive from Longleat, Warminster, Westbury and Frome. The owners offer elegant and spacious accommodation and a traditional full English breakfast in their Grade II listed Georgian house.
All rooms are en-suite with a shower and/or bath.
A freshly cooked breakfast is prepared using local produce, including locally made honey and marmalade, home-baked bread and eggs from the Black Dog Farm hens.
Close to the Somerset border, Black Dog Farm is 30-40 minutes' drive from the World Heritage Sites of Bath and Stonehenge and the attractive cathedral city of Salisbury. There are numerous National Trust and English Heritage properties within easy travelling distance.
A footpath leads from the farm up a steep hill to The Three Horseshoes in Chapmanslade village where the pub offers high quality homecooked food at reasonable prices. There are some lovely woodland walks adjacent to the house, and bluebell time in April/May is especially beautiful.
Deer, badgers and other wildlife can be seen from the farm.
