Weddings at the Assembly Rooms
The Assembly Rooms have been at the heart of the city’s social life since the eighteenth century and were frequented by Jane Austen and her contemporaries. With its priceless Whitefriars crystal chandeliers, high ceilings and stunning portraits, the award-winning and Grade I listed venue makes a stylish and truly historical setting for a wedding.
Four light and airy rooms on the ground floor, designed for large assemblies, are perfect for weddings. Guests can move seamlessly, behind closed doors, from room to room throughout the day. There is a small formal garden, well suited to drinks receptions and wedding photographs. Just a short walk away is the Royal Crescent and other iconic Bath vistas, which are perfect backdrops for additional wedding photography.
Searcys, the contracted caterer at the Assembly Rooms, provide delicious food and drink and couples can choose from a variety of options including a seated dinner, informal buffet, canapés or afternoon tea. While couples are free to choose their own suppliers, the experienced wedding team are happy to make suggestions and will provide guidance and on all aspects of the big day.
