Meet The Team

Kathryn Davis

Interim CEO

What are you responsible for at Visit Bath?
As the interim CEO, I work with the Visit Bath team and Board to ensure that all aspects of the business are being delivered to plan, and budget. I support and manage the Visit Bath teams, enabling them to deliver a high standard of work, benefitting the Bath city region and enabling individual businesses to engage with and benefit from the visitor economy. I will also be managing strategic partnerships across the wider region, with key stakeholders and tourism partners. This will include delivering innovative trade and consumer routes to market.

Where’s your favourite place in Bath and why?
It is quite tricky to choose a single favourite place, as different places are special for different reasons - Thermae Bath Spa as an evening with girlfriends or Royal Victoria Park when my kids were small. But, I think it has to be some of the gorgeous pubs both in and around the city. I have a soft spot for the George at Bathampton, as it is great for walks and a regular lunch spot with my parents when I was younger.

I am responsible for managing the Visit Bath office, and act as a PA to the Chief Executive. I am excited to be taking on HR and staff wellbeing duties in the forthcoming months.

Where’s your favourite place in Bath and why?
My favourite place in Bath is Kingsmead Square. From peaceful coffees outside in the morning to live music, street food, and cocktails in the evening, there is always a hive of activity. Dining on the veranda of Thai Balcony, which overlooks the square, is a wonderful way to relax on a Friday evening.

One of my favourite things to do in Bath is walk through Sydney Gardens to the Holburne Museum for tea and cake! Dating back to 1795, Sydney Gardens is Bath’s oldest park and the city’s most famous resident (and my favourite author) Jane Austen lived opposite at 4 Sydney Place.

Where's your favourite place in Bath and why?
Up in the sky! I was lucky enough to go up in a hot air balloon a couple of years ago. What better view of Bath can there be than a bird’s eye view of the whole of our beautiful city? It’s a must do if you haven’t had the opportunity yet.

Where’s your favourite place in Bath and why?
My favourite place would have to be Thermae Bath Spa. It’s the perfect place to go for a spa break whilst visiting Bath. Its opening in 2006 ended a 28-year period during which the waters remained unavailable for bathing. You can now bathe in Britain’s only naturally warm, mineral-rich waters as the Celts and Romans did over 2,000 years ago. The views from the open-air rooftop pool are spectacular too!
