Tempered chocolate is the secret to professional chocolate products. In this class you will be taught by skilled chocolatiers the art of tempering chocolate, how to use it for moulding and making decorations for cakes such as a decorative bow and a plaque with a piped message.
You will then be taught how to decorate a Luxurious Chocolate Ribbon Cake. On this specialised chocolate decorating class, you will learn how to split, fill and cover a 7" round chocolate cake, temper chocolate, and mould and shape it to make this unique design.
Our artisan chocolatier will show you how to:
- Temper chocolate
- How to wrap a double layered collar around the cake.
- How to use chocolate patterned transfers - make templates from the transfers and then to shape them to make up the bow
Chocolate that has been tempered is smooth with a shiny finish and satisfying snap. If you're planning on making dipped chocolates or moulded chocolates, the chocolate will need to be tempered so that it behaves properly and produces chocolates that are both tasty and beautiful.
